At least 87 people feared dead in stampede at religious event in India, NDTV reports

No less than 87 individuals were dreaded dead in a rush at a Hindu strict get-together in India's northern territory of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, telecaster NDTV revealed.

The rush occurred in a town in Hathras region, around 200 km (125 miles) southeast of the public capital New Delhi, where specialists said an enormous group had assembled on an area of open ground because of a call from a nearby strict pioneer. Region police representative Manish Chikara put the loss of life at around 60 individuals, however said that figure might rise.

Recordings via web-based entertainment showed bodies heaped onto the ground outside a neighborhood medical clinic. Reuters couldn't promptly confirm the pictures.

"The occurrence occurred due to congestion when individuals were attempting to leave the setting," Hathras region overseer Ashish Kumar told journalists.

An unidentified observer told telecaster India Today that there was a restricted exit at the scene: "As we attempted to exit towards a field, unexpectedly an uproar began, and we didn't have the foggiest idea what to do."

Uttar Pradesh is India's most crowded state within excess of 200 million individuals. Its Main Pastor Yogi Adityanath requested an examination.
